Goals
Since our launch in November 2005, ACE has raised over $245,000—enough funds to provide partial or full support for each the following positions and programs:
School Grants Coordinator
ACE provided full funding for the first two years of the Schools Grant Coordinator position, which has resulted in over $1 million in grant revenues for the district.
Expeditionary Learning Program
The ACE-funded Expeditionary Learning/Outward Bound Program at Wood Hill Middle School provides students with multi-curricular hands-on experiences.
Doherty Middle School Engineering Lab
West Middle School’s engineering lab was recently recognized as a Promising Practices Program by Mass Insight Research and Education Institute, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to raising student achievement. In 2007, ACE partnered with the Doherty Middle School PAC and the Andona Society to retrofit the old wood shop at Doherty into a new engineering and science laboratory that has paved the way for another 500 middle school students to enter the engineering curriculum.

Engineering is Elementary Curriculum
This program, fully funded by ACE, has been developed through the Museum of Science and reaches over 2700 students in all six Andover elementary schools. For more information about this program in Andover, click here.
CPO Physics
ACE fully funded the purchase of physics equipment at all three Andover middle schools. This will not only improve the science curriculum at the middle school level, but will allow Andover High School to accelerate its physics curriculum as well.
